Our last day! We woke up, packed our bags and headed off to put our luggage in storage as our flight wasn’t till late. First of all, we grabbed some food at a random little restaurant along the river bank. I had spicy chicken and chips. OMG, why is the food in Budapest so good? I could eat forever.
Also, I LOVE the decor they have in Budapest, it’s so chic.
After our lunch, we went on a boat ride up and down the river which came free with our bus pass. Now, if you are going to do this boat tour make sure you wrap up warm as it was freezing. The cold wind was worth the ride as we got to see so many different bridges and buildings along the way. The parliament building is stunning. I wish I could live there.
After the boat ride, we took a look at all the stalls and did some shopping to get some presents to take home! There are so many cute shops and stalls along the embankment where the dock is.
Our final stop of the day was to the food market! Now, I was expecting something really exciting that you would find in Thailand, like lots of street food. But it was basically somewhere to do your weekly shop! It was still good to look around. Upstairs they sell tourist items and some local dishes but we weren’t hungry anymore.
After lots of walking around, we decided to call it a day and collect our suitcases before having to head to the airport. Budapest is a great city break and I would 100% do it again as there is so much to see and do. If you have any question then please leave them in my comment box below.
