Growing up I used to alway be embarrassed by my Mum if she ever complained in a restaurant, but after working in hospitality you realise how important it is to deliver things right and now I’m not afraid to say if there was an issue with my experience. However, for the first time in a long time, I went out for a meal and didn’t have one bad word to say about my experience.
On the anniversary of my Uncle Tony’s death, my best friend and I ventured to Southend to see his band play. It was an emotional day as the last time I visited the area was to see my Uncle Tony and his band The Port Town Rockers!
Before the gig started Beth & I went to look for a restaurant to dine in. Now, I didn’t think we would find anywhere nicer than an Old Fish & Chip shop on the Southend Sea Front. By surprise, we came across Bourgee Restaurant.
The choice on the menu was incredible! I really couldn’t decide. In the end, I went for the same as my friend so I couldn’t get food envy! We both had NY Strip Steak with dauphinoise potatoes.
It was literally the best steak I have had in years! I have now seen there are other Bourgee Resturants around and I can’t wait to try them out!
